Office Painting is Finally Done!!

FINALLY! The painting in the office is done. Well that is except for the desk but im still working on that...its so relieving that its done and i will get pictures up asap :) Its looking so amazing a totally different room :)

My office is getting closer! im almost finished painting the trim and the doors white today its looking so good :) im also gonna do a coat or two on my desk hopefully that will be done next week! As for everything else...school is going great im in the 2nd week of 6 and I got a 92% on my first test...pretty proud of myself! Also we have been hiking outside ALOT! I love it i wish it were summer all year!

How to Prime & Paint Paneling

So it took me a while to figure our how to do all this paneling the right way...multiple posts online said I had to sand the paneling first which I tried and kept on ending up with slivers and one day I got a bunch of sand in my eyes and it just plain sucked! And remember you have to wipe all the walls down before priming to get all particles and oil off the surface. So I went to the hardware store and they recomomended to use KILZ Latex Primer...so thats what I did. I just put on one coat of the primer (water base) of course...and then it should be dry to the touch within 30 minutes. I waited till the next day to paint. Then I painted on 2 coats of Color Place Interior Semi-Gloss paint in the color Worn & Weathered Tin from Walmart. It's a gray color and looks so amazing! It's the most affordable paint there is so go buy it :). I have boughten the paint foor the doors and trim. Its Color Place again from Walmart and its a Latex Interior Semi-Gloss Paint in White #5407. So that is one of my next projects...I still have to paint around the very edges of the room. I bought green Frog Tape to tape the edges...so that is coming soon as well! So I am on my way to one CUTE CUTE room!

Office Update

So I finally finished painting the room I did it in a gray color called "Worn & Weathered Tin" and I got it at Walmart! It's way cute and makes the room so much better than the gross panelling! Now I just need to paint the doors and trim white. And I'm thinking of painting the desk I bought a yellow color...I know I'm gonna do black and white curtains for sure...here's a link to the picture I like...

Starting School

So I don't have pictures up yet of my room...I'm so close to having the painting done and hope to be done by friday..but we will see :) And I did get the desk I wanted so I will have to paint that too...it seemed so easy at first to do all this painting and it's taking me FOREVER! And I decided at the last minute to sign up for summer classes so Im pretty excited but looking at all the classes I have to take is a little overwhelming but oh well what can you do! So class starts Monday. Anyway...hopefully pics will be up in a couple days.
